LEIGH celebrity Dom Littlewood has been voted off hit television show Strictly Come Dancing.

The former used car salesman, who was partnered with professional dancer Lilia Kopylova, failed to impress the judges and the TV audience with his paso doble in the fifth round of the prime time show.

When the result of the viewers' vote was announced, Dom, 42, joked: "I can have a vindaloo tomorrow night and not have to worry about the consequences."

Judge Arlene Phillips told Dom: "Sometimes you charge round the floor like a raging bull not listening to the music".

But head judge, Len Goodman, told him "you gave it your best".

Fellow judge Craig Revel Horwood added: "For me full of crowd pleasing moments but technically for me really boxy because you were trying to hard. Your timing was out your shoulders raised."

Judge Bruno Tonioli told him: "You went for the Spanish content but danced to a different band.

"But you have to listen to the music and watch the periscope hands. But you did make an effort."

After being voted off Dominic said: "Everyone behind the scenes has been wonderful. The better man got through...I can have a vindaloo tonight!"
