REGULARS at a pub raised an impressive £12,000 for charity as a result of fundraising events throughout the year.
Michelle Matson, landlady of the Hoy and Helmet pub, in High Street, Benfleet, presented the cheque to London's Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital.
The final event was an "Oscar" night, during which awards were given in categories such as biggest beer belly.
Miss Matson, 34, said: "It was a great night."
