A QUICK thinking neighbour alerted fire fighters after a flat on Canvey was targeted by suspected arsonists.
Smoke and water was spotted spilling from the ground floor flat on Gafzelle Drive.
Vandals had left a towel on the hob and turned on the sink taps before fleeing.
Two crews were called at 7pm yesterday evening (November 5) to ventilate the flat which was left heavily smoke logged.
