A MAN has been warned it is almost inevitable he will be sent to jail after he admited handling stolen goods from four burglaries.
Kevin James, 39, of Curling Tye, Basildon, pleaded guilty to four counts of handling stolen goods when he appeared at Basildon Crown Court yesterday.
James was caught with valuables including a bicycle, jewellery, cameras, an MP3 player, cash and a mobile phone, which had been stolen during the burglaries at homes in Basildon and Wickford, between June 25 and June 26.
James was formally acquitted of four counts of burglary after the Crown offered no evidence against him.
Adjourning the case for a probation report Judge Phillip Clegg told James: "All options are open. It is almost inevitable you will face a long sentence of imprisonment."
James was remanded in custody and will reappear at the court for sentencing next month.
