ROBBERS dragged a man to a cashpoint and tried to force him to withdraw money.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was walking along Timberlog Lane, Basildon, when he was attacked by the two thugs.
They pushed him to the ground and rummaged through his pockets before taking out his phone and wallet. The robbers then dragged the man to a nearby cashpoint and tried to forced him to withdraw cash.
The victim refused and the thieves ran off with his Nokia mobile and wallet worth £140.
One of the robbers is described as white, aged about 25 with cropped hair. He was of stocky build and wore a blue top and jeans.
His accomplice was also white and rode a red mountain bike.
