Here are just a few of the planning applications Southend Council has approved this week.
The Echo has compiled a list of some of the applications the council has given the green light to since January 11.
The change of use from an ice-cream parlour to a restaurant/café
Southend council have granted conditional planning permission to an application at 48-49 Marine Parade, Southend, which will see an ice cream parlour change its use to a restaurant/café.
The council granted conditional permission on January 12.
The demolition of an existing conservatory and existing garage and erection of a single storey rear extension and replacement garage
Southend council have granted conditional planning permission to an application at a home on Canvey Road, Leigh, which will see the demolition of an existing conservatory and erection of a single storey rear extension.
Conditional permission has also been granted to demolish an existing garage and erect a replacement garage including an addition to the side/rear to form bin storage.
Permission was also granted to replace all windows, install a porch canopy at the front and replace fencing and gates to the front boundary.

Southend Council have granted planning permission to erect a single storey rear extension with a roof lantern at a home on Blackgate Road in Shoebury.
The council granted permission on January 13.
An erect dormer to rear and single storey rear extension
Southend Council have granted conditional permission to a home on Mannering Gardens in Westcliff to erect a dormer to the rear and a single storey rear extension.
The council granted conditional permission on January 12.
The erection of a single storey rear extension
Southend council have granted conditional permission to erect a single storey rear extension on a home on Hainault Avenue in Westcliff.
Conditional permission was granted on January 13.
