A Southend road will be out of bounds from a busy junction for close to a month.

Motorists will be unable to enter or exit Baxter Avenue from its junction with Queensway.

Parking, waiting, loading and unloading is set to also be prohibited from the junction until the exit of the Baxter Avenue car park.

The closure is scheduled to commence from March 8 until April 7.

Drivers are advised to follow an alternative route via Victoria Avenue, Harcourt Avenue and Boston Avenue.

The restrictions will be in place to allow gas main replacement works to take place.

Traffic will be unable to proceed on Wansfell Gardens from its junction with Willingale Way while the works are undertaken.

Waiting, loading and unloading are also not allowed on Wansfell Gardens from its junction with Willingale Way.

The closure is scheduled to be in place from March 1 for a three-week period.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes via Willingale Way and Fortescue Chase.

Traffic will be unable to enter Elm Road from its junction with Glendale Gardens, while Station Road will be closed from its junction with London Road.

While the works take place in Station Road, the one-way traffic flow will be suspended.

As a result, Station Road will become a two-way system to allow residents access.

The closures are scheduled to come into force from March 9 for one day from 9.30am-2.30pm.

The restrictions have been put in place due to a new manhole cover being fitted close to the junction of Elm Road and Station Road.

A diversion route will be signposted via Elm Road, Broadway, Leigh Road and London Road.

Carriageway patching works will be undertaken by Essex County Council from March 9.

An alternative route will be available via Labworth Road and Furtherwick Road.

Sidwell Avenue will be inaccessible from its junction with Sidwell Chase to its junction with Sidwell Park on March 5.
