It’s Mother’s Day – and some of our readers have been keen to share their heartfelt messages ahead of the big day.

Mums will always hold an irreplaceable spot in our hearts, but this will be a Mother’s Day like no other due to government restrictions keeping some loved ones apart.

Some mums have gone through a lot of heartache over the course of the last 12 months, while others have devoted so much of their time to helping others in these testing times.

Here, we shine a light on just some special mums who deserve a Mother’s Day to remember.

Echo:

My mum has the biggest heart and is there for everyone! She’s always worrying about everyone else. She cooks the best roast dinner, can mend anything and puts her family and friends first. She’s amazing – a super mum. She’s taught me so much about being a good mum and is my best friend. Love Hayley Richardson

Echo:

Our mum brought us into this world, raised us, gives so much love, support and guidance. We wouldn’t be where we are without you. You’re always there when we need you and continue to be a big influence in our lives. We love you unconditionally. Thank you for everything. Love Charlotte Stanbrook

Echo:

To Dorothy Lawrence, Happy Mother’s Day! You were very ill in 2019 and we thought we were going to lose you. Unfortunately, we lost dad in July 2019. Since then, you have continued to live in the family home and amaze us all by getting stronger and stronger. You used to enjoy your Saturdays in the pub with me, meeting friends. Those days have been sorely missed during lockdown but you always have a smile on your face for everyone and I can’t wait for a hug again. Love Mark Lawrence

To Deanne Kelly, you are one in a million and always looking for anyone who needs help. You are incredible and our rock. There is never a day where you don’t make us laugh. We love you mum and hope you have a great day. Love from your kids xxxx

Echo:

To Val Camp, you do so much to help me. You are so supportive, kind and selfless. I don’t know what I would do without you. Happy Mother’s Day. Love Jo Camp

Echo:

To Natasha Schneider, you nursed your own mum, with terminal cancer, up until her sad passing just before Christmas. At the same time, you have run a care company during Covid, providing care to the vulnerable when there were staff shortages, while also completing a counselling qualification and offering support to some of the most vulnerable in society at the same time as being a fantastic mother to our daughter Jayme. You truly are remarkable and your mother was so proud of the mother you have become. Love Nick Schneider

Echo:

I miss my mum so much. I’ve not been able to see her since before Christmas because she has been caring for my uncle full-time as he is vulnerable due to being at end of life care. My mum is such an amazing, caring person and I can’t wait to give her a hug once this is all over. Love Carly Rosenfeld xx

Echo:

My mum has always been there and always will. She is always caring, no matter what, and will always listen whenever I have something to say. She always believes that I can do something as long as I try my best. She is always there to support me. She always spoils me and loves me in every way possible. She is the best mum ever and is so loving and caring it is unimaginable. Love Madison.

To Hollie Chapman, we have eight children between us - five at home all the time - and you have managed to home-school them, look after a baby and keep the house in order while also helping support the others when they need it. Even while I was in ICU, you kept them going. You kept them going when you had Covid. You are one in a million. Love Greg Chapman.
