A PARKING row left a dad so frustrated he grabbed a baseball bat and threatened to “smash up” a driver’s car.
Andrew Ogunlade-George told the courts he “completely regrets” getting angry and threatening a man who drove down his road and became stuck.
The 30-year-old of Albany Avenue, Westcliff had been outside his home on March 15 last year when a man drove into the road and tried to pass a number of parked cars, including his own.
The driver couldn’t squeeze through, which led to an argument between the driver and members of Ogunlade-George’s party.
The driver was asked to move, but he didn’t, and Ogunlade-George pulled a weapon from the boot his car.
The victim described the weapon as a black baseball bat.

Ogunlade-George approached the driver’s side of the car and said “I’m going to smash your car if you don’t f****** move it”.
Ogunlade-George was then led away by a friend and the driver reversed his car out of the road.
Mitigating, Sheryl Nwosu said Ogunlade-George accepted he was in the wrong.
She said: “This is an offence that was committed entirely on impulse, there was no planning whatsoever.
“He regrets what happened, but the way it happened was something that happened on impulse and he regrets that he let his anger take over him.
“He has four children with his partner and they enjoy a happy life together in which they support and care for these children.”
Recorder William Clegg QC told Ogunlade-George: “It was completely unacceptable for you to get whatever it was from the boot of your car to threaten him.
“It was an offence of little planning which is lower culpability.”
The incident was reported to the police and Ogunlad-George went on to admit using threatening or words with intent to damage property.
He was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Thursday.
The court heard the victim has suffered stress and anxiety.
Ogunlade-George was given a 12 month community order and must do 150 hours of unpaid work.
