CAMPAIGNERS bidding to restore Grays State cinema have another event planned in the town centre this weekend.
Volunteers will be outside the State from 9.30am, on Saturday, urging passers-by to sign their petition to save the iconic listed building.
Campaigner Anjie Gaywood, 40, of Hemley Road, Orsett, said: "Interest around our campaign is growing and many people, both young and old, want to see something happening to secure the future of the building.
"Following the last successful awareness day we managed to collect almost 1,400 signatures.
"It is only with continued public support that we can secure the State's future, and retain this historic building for future generations to enjoy."
