LEE Mead brought a splash of West End colour when he opened a new health centre.
The star of Joseph, who grew up in Southend, visited Leigh Primary Care Centre for its official opening.
For the unveiling of the plaque, staff replaced the standard plain curtain with a more colourful version in honour of Lee's starring role in the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
At the ceremony, chief executive Andrew Pike, said: "It is great having someone from the local area to officially open Leigh Primary Care Centre.
"What makes it all the more fitting is I know Lee's fan base is very large and very broad, taking in people of all ages.
"And this new health centre will be providing health services for people of all ages too, from new-born babies to older people."
During a tour, 27-year-old Lee met children from Darlinghurst Primary School, who designed a mosaic for the new centre.
