TV PRESENTER Dominic Littlewood says his heart remains in Southend.

Dom, whose latest programme, Double Agents, hits our screens today, told the Echo he is an Essex boy at heart.

He said: “My heart is still in Southend and I still have a house here. My sister lives here, too.

“But I spend most of my time in London.”

Dom, 42, says Double Agents was the most challenging and fun show he has taken part in.

It pits him against co-presenter Kristian Digby in a competition to find which of the pair can become a successful estate agent.

The pair, who worked together on To Buy or Not to Buy, have to learn the ropes of the business and pass an exam to prove their worth.

Dom said: “It’s an apprentice-style programme where me and Kristian live together in an apartment and have to learn about an area unfamiliar to us “It’s not a mock up, we are actually selling and renting people homes.

“It’s good because there was the element of competition between me and Kristian.”

The show will run as a pilot series this week but, if successful, a further episodes could follow.

“If it gets a good response it could go further,” said Dom.

“We could learn how to be teachers, driving instructors or even how to direct a West End show.”

“It’s very entertaining and challenging.”

Dom went to St Teresa’s Primary School, in Rochford, and ran a car showroom in London Road, Leigh, before hitting the small screen.

He is also working on other TV projects but says he can’t reveal the details yet – just saying one is more journalistic than his previous shows.

He is also looking forward to his first ever panto, at the Shaw Theatre in London, where he’ll play Buttons in Cinderella.

He added: “I’ve never been on stage before in my life.

“But, I’m really looking forward to it. I love a challenge.”

Double Agents is on BBC2 every day this week, starting at 12.45pm.
