A CONCERT will bring a bit of Christmas cheer to Basildon.
St Martins Church, in Basildon town square, will host a charity carol concert today between 7.30pm and 9pm.
The Southend Band and the De La Salle School Choir will give the performance, while there will be hot mince pies and milled wine served after the event.
The concert will raise cash for the Giraffe Appeal, at Basildon Hospital's neonatal intensive care unit, and the Adventure Playground for People with Special Needs.
Organisers, Palmers Solicitors and accountants Rickard Keen LLP, are hoping the event raises more than £2,000 for the charities.
