THE parents of a five-year-old girl from Shoebury who died from a rare form of cancer have set up a charity appeal in her memory.
Angelina Vidler was diagnosed with Wilms’ Tumour, a cancer that attacks the kidneys and renal system at just three years old.
She received treatment at London’s Great Ormond Street children’s hospital, but died in July last year.
Now Angelina’s parents Hilary and Carl have set up the Angelina Our Star appeal to raise money for Great Ormond Street hospital’s charity to help care for other young cancer sufferers and fund research into the disease.
The Angelina Our Star appeal will be launched with a black tie party, to be held at Ocean Beach restaurant, Eastern Esplanade, on Friday, February 6 from 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 each and the event will include an auction, raffle, and buffet. All proceeds will go to the charity.
For tickets, e-mail info@angelinaourstar.org.uk or visit www.angelinaourstar.org.uk for more information.
