A STUDENT at South East Essex College created a giant clock device entirely out of unwanted junk.
Harry Foottit, a 19- year-old art and design foundation diploma student, created the work using chairs, a wardrobe, a desk fan and a number of clocks.
It took him four weeks of visiting dumps and skips to collect enough material to complete the work.
Harry said: “I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to make until I’d collected all my pieces. I guess you could say I’m a bit of a magpie as I like to collect things that don’t look like they should have been thrown away.
“I think what I and a lot of other people like about the piece is every time you look at it you see something new and the colours and materials all work well with one another.”
