SOUTHEND air cadets joined more than 400 colleagues from London and the south east in a parade through the capital to celebrate the 68th anniversary of the formation of the Air Training Corps.
The band of 1312 Southend Squadron led the parade, marching through London to St Clement Danes, the central church of the Royal Air Force, in the Strand.
After the service, the band entertained members of the corps and hundreds of bystanders despite the cold weather and an unexpected snow flurry.
The 1312 Southend Squadron Air Cadets is located at Southend Airport.
They parade on Friday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.30pm and on Sundays, from 10.30am to 12.30pm.
