THE governing body of St Clere’s School, in Stanford-le-Hope, is planning to establish a charitable trust.
The St Clere’s Co-operative Learning Community Trust will establish long-term partnerships with a wide variety of other organisations.
These include the Port of Tilbury, Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford Star Co-operative, Barnardo’s, Palmer’s College and Thurrock Council.
The decision has been made following a public consultation, which took place between November 17 and December 12 last year.
Brian Martin, vice-chairman of governors, said: “We have decided to use this model as it enables those who are directly involved in the school, parents, staff and pupils, to become engaged in our long-term strategic development through membership of the trust.
