A TEAM of fundraisers is appealing for help with transport to Britain’s three highest peaks.
The group stands to collect more than £1,000 in sponsorship if it completes the Three Peaks Challenge, which will involve scaling Ben Nevis, in Scotland, Snowdon, in North Wales, and Scafell Pike, in the Lake District, within 24 hours.
However, team leader Lee Austin, 40, of Palmerstone Road, Canvey, said: “We had a seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle we were going to borrow off a friend, to drive us from peak to peak, but it’s broken down.
“We don’t want to let everyone who’s sponsoring us down, so we were hoping someone might come forward with a vehicle with a minimum of seven seats which they could lend us.”
They are raising money with the sponsored walk on June 8, for the Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity.
