A DRIVER had to be cut out of a car following a crash on the A127.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off a silver Ford Focus to rescue a woman in her 70s. Her car had been in collision with a black Renault panel van near the Tesco roundabout, in Westcliff, at about 1pm today.
Traffic had to be diverted along Westbourne Grove while the emergency services worked.
The woman was taken to Southend Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
