A LEADING south Essex school is celebrating after being awarded another accolade.
Gable Hall School in Corringham has been awarded specialist status to nurture gifted and talented children.
The school, which has had four “outstanding” Ofsted reports in a row, already has a specialism in the performing arts and vocational and applied learning.
The third specialism has come as a result of the school being a long-standing Leading Edge school, which means it supports other schools both within and beyond Thurrock.
Headmaster John King said: “I am delighted Gable Hall has been awarded this specialism.
“It is recognition of the outstanding work of my colleagues and in particular Corinne Franceschi, my deputy, has done in helping develop excellent practice with our gifted and talented youngsters.”
