PEOPLE who park across driveways could wind up with a fine Southend Council has revealed.
The council plans to crack down on inconsiderate motorists who make life a misery for the borough’s residents by blocking their driveways.
Up until recently only the police were permitted to take enforcement action over badly parked vehicles which obstructed people’s access to the highway.
But new legislation against so-called "driveway blockers" will see persistent offenders being issued with £70 fixed penalty notices.
