A man fell on to a flat roof from a third floor window this morning.
Southend firefighters were called to assist ambulance crews trying to rescue the 40-year-old man from the roof at 1am.
He is believed to have fallen after leaning out of his window of the three-storey building on Marine Parade, Southend. He sustained injuries to his legs and back and was taken to Southend Hospital.
