THE green shoots of spring will be firmly in evidence in Southchurch as new trees are planted at sites across the ward.
Young trees have been planted at Bournes Green roundabout to help protect verges from problem parking, and the new cycleway in Royal Artillery Way is also set to get new leafy additions.
Also benfitting from the planting will be Willingale Way, in Thorpe Bay, where ward councillor Brian Kelly is hoping to get new trees planted to soften the appearance of bridge strengthening works.
