COUNCIL services are now available to view and access from the comfort of your home on TV.
Southend Council is broadcasting its DigiTV information service for free 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Through this new service residents can report graffiti, flytipping, missed bin collections, abandoned vehicles and street light problems.
Other information displayed is about housing and council tax benefits, to check waste collection dates over the Easter Holidays, and to see what there is to do in Southend.
Southend Council’s head of customer services, Nick Corrigan said: “DigiTV offers a very useful opportunity for people to find out key council information at any time of the day or night.
“It gives another free route to help residents access our services.”
It is available to people who subscribe to Sky or Virgin Media and is accessed via the TV remote control. The service is also available on the Wii, PCs and on any web-enabled mobile phone, but it is not yet available on Freeview.
For more information on how to use the service, go to: www.southend.gov.uk, or call 01702 215000.
