A MAN has appeared in court, charged with a series of sex offences, including rape.
Jason Levins, 25, is accused of raping a woman, assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault. He is also charged with causing a female aged 13 or over to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity. The charges relate to offences alleged to have been committed in Tilbury on May 4.
Levins, of Church Lane, Purfleet, entered no plea to any of the charges. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Basildon Crown Court in July.
