Ruth Sims and Sue Bonner are appealing to the public to donate items from their wish list to continue their work at a dedicated malnutrition unit at the Mulago Hospital in Kampala.

The full list of items that the duo needs are as follows: Digital camera and leads, new antivirus software, paintshop pro or similar, good printers, flash drives.

Trikes, scooters, garden table and chairs, heavy duty playground equipment, wooden benches.

Extension leads (240 volts), 14 volt battery drill, electric drill and drill bits, plumbers tools, a set of spanners, carpenters tools including hammers and saws, a set of screwdrivers, tape measures, spirit levels, Stanley knives, Scews Posi-drive counter sunk, two Black and Decker Workmates, a set of pliers, sledgehammers, various paint brushes.

Plastic washable toys including Lego and Playmobile items, musical instruments, toy mats, wipe clean picture books and DVD's for under five's.

Combi TV with a DVD player, a TV with a separate DVD player, a Hi-Fi with a CD player, radios, fridges, freezers, microwaves, kettles, rings and an ironing board and iron.

Bean bags, disposable nappies, towels, sewing scissors and threads, Micropore, drawing paper and crayons, pushchairs, baby bouncers and large plastic storage containers.

Medical trolleys, syringes, surgical gloves, measuring cylinders, nebulizers, sterilizer, patella hammer, diagnostic sets, height measuring boards and a paediatric blood measuring machine.

Electric hob, hot water urns, frying pans, food warmers, large whisks, measuring jugs, weighing scales, crockery and cutlery food mixers and blenders, table cloths, aprons, oven gloves and thermos flasks.

Pillows, blankets, sheets, children's bibs, wall clocks, eletric kettle, large baking trays and pressure cookers.

Children's plastic chairs, plastic tables, children's cups and beakers, A4 white paper, a photocopier, scanner, laminators, binding machines, filing cabinets and pens and pencils.

Clothes for children under the age of five, shoes and trainers, baby clothes, and work trousers, skirts, and shirts.

To donate items, take them to the Shoeburyness and Thorpe Bay Baptist Church in Thorpedene Gardens between 8am to 7pm on Thursday, May 20, Friday, May 21 and Saturday, May 22.
