FISHERMEN will find nothing to carp about this freshwater injection.
The lake at Northlands Park in Pitsea received more than 600 new carp on Thursday, as part of a programme to boost the number of lakeside catches in the Basildon district.
Basildon Angling Centre, which manages the lakes, put in carp weighing between 1lb and 6lb, so fishing enthusiasts of all ages will be able to make a catch.
Fishery manager Russell Morely, said: “It’s a very big boost and will make it easier for people to catch fish."
