Detectives have appealed for information after a man was seriously injured in a street attack in Southend.
The 24-year-old man from Canvey suffered a fractured skull and fractured jaw in the incident in London Road which happened at about 4.30am on Sunday May 16.
He was taken to Southend University Hospital where he is still detained after undergoing surgery.
The victim was attacked by a group of men all aged in their 20s and of Mediterranean appearance.
