RISING star Josh Dubovie will be joining the A-list line-up for this summer’s Billericay gala weekend.

Josh, who will next week jet off to Oslo in Norway to try and win the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK, will perform at the concert extravaganza on the weekend of July 24/25 at Lake Meadows.

He will join Will Young, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the City Concert Orchestra who have already been booked by Basildon Council.

Josh, 19, from Laindon, will appear in the Prom in the Park show on the Saturday, while Pop Idol winner Will Young and singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor will appear on the Sunday.

Kevin Blake, Cabinet member for leisure, said “This is a great event for local people, I’m delighted we’re also going to have Josh perform as he is a local lad.”

Josh, who went to Billericay School, will sing That Sounds Good To Me at next Saturday’s Eurovision final, set to be watched by 110 million people worldwide. The song was written by hitmaker Peter Waterman.
