A THUG narrowly missed startled passengers when he threw a burning firework onto a bus.
The number 20 bus had pulled up in Victoria Avenue, Southend, near St Mary's Church, when a silver Renault Clio stopped alongside in the right hand lane.
Someone in the Renualt then suddenly pulled out a firework and hurled it into the bus.
The live firework skimmed past the two terrified passengers onboard and landed on a seat, which was burn out.
Now police are appealing for information about the attack, which happened around 10pm on Thursday*June24* at the road's junction with East Street and West Street.
