THOUSANDS of people descended on Canvey to show their support for soldiers of the past and present.
Standing in the hot summer’s day, the people flocked to pay their respect to the men and women who have served Britain in Canvey’s celebration of Armed Forces Day on Saturday.
People of all ages gathered at the Furtherwick School, in Folksville Road, for a moving and memorable parade on Saturday morning.
Veterans including the army’s Royal Anglian Regiment, Chelsea Pensioners, and a number of Ghurka soldiers, who were joined by serving members of the services.
