AN EXCHANGE student was attacked in Chalkwell Park leaving him with a bleed to the brain.
The 14-year-old was part of a group of German girls and boys who were in the park last Friday night.
They were shouted at by a group of English boys before one of them pushed the youngster over.
The yobs were all white and aged about 14 or 15.
The victim was treated by paramedics about 8.30pm before being taken to Kings College Hospital in London. He had suffered a swollen jaw and a small internal bleed to his brain. But he was well enough to return home to Germany.
Anyone with information should call PC Greg Smith at Leigh police station on 0300 3334444.
