POLICE have recovered a batch of T-shirts which were stolen from a Scouts group.
A crook got into an unlocked car in Bellevue Road, Southend, and took the 12 blue T-shirts along with a small amount of cash and a black tool box containing colouring pens and pencils. They all belonged to the 4th Thorpe Bay Scouts group and were in various children's sizes from five years to 11 years.
But officers later found the T-shirts dumped in a nearby road.
Pc Mike Latham is investigating the theft which happened at 10pm on Friday.
