A MAN has died in hospital after a road crash in Shoebury last night.
Police were called to Bournes Green Chase at about 7.30pm yesterday evening (Tuesday), following reports that a white Citroen van had left the carriageway and struck a lamp-post.
The driver of the van, a man in his 50s from the Rochford area, was taken to Southend Hospital but sadly died a short time later.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident, which is being investigated by road policing officers.
