DRUG addicts have been leaving their used needles in a public toilet.
It appears the toilets near the Arches cafes, on the seafront, are being used by junkies.
Trevor Bell, of Holland Road, Westcliff, was disgusted when he found discarded drug paraphernalia in three of the cubicles.
He had been in one of the cafes at about 4pm on Friday with some friends before they tried to use the toilets.
He said: “The meal was excellent. However, when they returned with their young child from the adjacent toilets they declared how shocked they were at the drugs paraphernalia on the toilet floor.
“Needless to say I was once again embarrassed and ash-amed at living in Westcliff.”
Mr Bell, 65, believes the toilets need an attendant and a panic button to link in with the police.
