A DRIVER who died when his car burst into flames on the A13 has been named by police.
Robert Forman, 67, of Calvert Drive, Basildon, was driving his orange Nissan Qashqai when tragedy struck.
His car was involved in a collision with an articulated lorry on the London-bound track of the carriageway, just after the M25 exit and near to the A1012 at North Stifford.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, at 6.50pm on Tuesday and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
