POLICE are appealing for a young cyclist and any witnesses to a road traffic accident between a child cyclist and a car in Swanage Road, Southend.
The collision, which happened on Thursday, September 23 involved a child on a pedal cycle and a silver Lotus Elise, around 300 meters away from the junction with Sutton Road at 1.30pm.
The child was with others on bikes and rode off after the incident.
Pc David Franklin said: “I am trying to trace the cyclist and any potential witnesses. The cyclist was described as aged 10 or 11 with dark ginger or brown hair. He was short and riding a dark coloured BMX bike. He was with a small group.”
Witnesses are asked to call Pc Franklin at Southend police station on 0300 333 4444.
