KEEN Canvey schoolkids have been rewarded for not missing a single day of school.
Some 170 of Cornelius Vermuyden School’s 920 pupils have earned bronze badges for 100 per cent attendance this term.
The school, in Dinant Avenue, operates a scheme under which youngsters are given bronze, silver and gold badges for consecutive terms of full attendance.
The autumn term’s star pupils were also given hot chocolate and snacks as a treat.
Deputy headteacher Nikola King said: “The pupils should be proud of their achievement and commitment, as 100 per cent attendance equals 100 per cent potential and this follows through with academic studies and results.”
