Police investigating the discovery of a man's body at a cannabis factory in Redhills Road, South Woodham Ferrers, have charged a man with burglary in connection with the incident.

Abdi Hassan, 21, of Park Grove, West Ham, London, has been charged with burglary and will appear before magistrates in Chelmsford on Monday December 27.

Officers believe they have identified the dead man found at the cannabis factory and are liaising with the Vietnamese Embassy in London and abroad, as the man is believed to be from Vietnam.

Forensic and search teams are still working at the warehouse in Redhills Road, South Woodham Ferrers which was used to cultivate cannabis.

Det Chief Inspector Mark Hall said: "We are grateful for the assistance the local community has already given us but anyone who has any information about activity at the site prior to the man's discovery or any other details is asked to contact the MIT at Brentwood on 0300 333 444 or via Crimestoppers."

The death is being treated as murder. One man has been arrested and is currently on bail.
