A MOTORCYCLIST was rushed to hospital after his bike collided with a car.
The blue Yamaha 125 motorbike was in collision with a silver Mitsubishi car in London Road, by the junction with Bradley Avenue, Thundersley, just after 9am yesterday.
An ambulance and rapid response car quickly arrived on the scene.
Paramedics treated the 18-year-old motorcyclist for injuries which were not life threatening, before rushing him to Southend Hospital.
A small crowd of people gathered round, as the young man was being looked after at the roadside.
The busy road was partially closed causing traffic tailbacks, until it was fully re-opened shortly after 10am.
