TORIES are celebrating after retaining all the seats they were defending on Basildon Council.
The new make-up of the council is 29 Conservatives, Labour 11 and Lib Dems 2.
Labour gained from the Lib Dems.
Basildon mayor Mo Larkin won in Pitsea South East with 1197 votes over Labour's 1056.
Tory senior councillors Kevin Blake, Steve Horgan and David Dadds polled stonking majorities in their respective wards.
In Fryerns, where there were two vacancies, Labour took both seats.
