POLICE are investigating a car-wrecking spree which hit five different streets.

Vandals went on the rampage around Warrior Square, Southend, and the surrounding roads.

At least five cars had wing mirrors and aerials ripped off in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is not yet known what the cost of all the damage will be to the owners.

Insp Leigh Norris, of Southend police, said: “My guess is somebody’s come out of one of the town centre venues and done this.

“There’s about five different roads where there have been cars damaged, so it’s probably a group of people walking through.”

Anyone with information should call police on 0300 333 4444.
