TRAIN operator c2c chalked up another record success after coming out on top of the national punctuality chart for keeping to its timetables for the sixth time in seven months.

Figures show 97.1 per cent of trains run by the franchise, which is controlled by National Express, were on time during August.

The firm had previously topped the same league table in February, March, April, May and June.

Along with being punctual, c2c also scored 91 per cent in the national passenger satisfaction table released in spring.
