ARSONISTS torched a swing in a childrens' playground.
Police are seeking information about the incident at the play area in Priory Park last Wednesday, August 31, at 8.15pm.
The fire caused over £100 of damage.
Pc Jennifer Payne said, "This pointless vandalism took place during the summer holidays when children would be getting maximum use from the play equipment. I hope that anyone who can help me trace the person responsible will call with information." Anyone with information is asked to call Pc Payne at Leigh police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
