Police are trying to piece together the events which led to a woman being found unconscious in the early hours.

The woman aged in her early 20s was found bare foot on the bank of the reservoir near to the Freight House in Rochford, on September 3 between 1am and 1.45am.

Police say her movements before this time have been accounted for and are not saying if any she has been the victim of a crime.

The woman is described as white, 5'7", medium build, with brown, straight, shoulder length hair, and was wearing a flower in her hair.

She was wearing a long, black, maxi dress and holding a clutch bag.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "Were you in Rochford in the early hours of Saturday morning? Did you see someone matching the woman's description. Did you see anyone in the vicinity of the reservoir at that time?"
