A COMPETITION has been launched to find Southend’s best Christmas shop window display.
Residents and visitors are being invited to help choose the best Christmas shop window in the borough.
Shoppers are being encouraged to submit details of their favourite window to alisondewey@southend.gov.uk by Friday, December 9.
Guided by their choices, David Norman, Southend mayor, will make the final decision.
The contest was launched after a special trophy was donated by chartered accountant and author John Melling in memory of showbiz star Barbara Miller, who was a leading lady at the Palace Theatre, Westcliff, in the 1960’s.
