RESIDENTS on Canvey feel they are trapped in “a prison” because of the two-hour traffic jams getting off the island. Commuters have also been forced to walk to Benfleet train station instead of taking the bus and getting stuck in the queues caused by roadworks at Sadlers Farm.
The Sadlers Farm junction has been reduced to one lane during the week because of roadworks and drivers have reported unbearable traffic jams.
