A WOMAN whose brother died in a tragic racing accident will be running past the site where he died, in a special charity run through the Olympic Village. Beverley Wright, 51, of Prittle Close, Hadleigh, has been chosen as one of 5,000 runners to take part in the National Lottery Olympic Park Run, to raise money for mental health charity Headway.

The gruelling five-mile course will pass several iconic venues including the velodrome and aquatics centre before terminating in the Olympic stadium, where 2,000 Olympians will be competing in August.

However, the journey will be bittersweet as Mrs Wright will also pass the Hackney Wick Stadium where her brother Vic, who was a speedway rider, crashed and died from a fatal head injury aged just 26.
