The ceremonial beads created by each borough as part of the Sparks will Fly Cultural Festival will be arriving in Basildon next week.
The beads, which are travelling across the country as part of an exhibition, will be available to view in Basildon Library between October 2 and October 29.
The beads were designed by local artists or community groups to represent their borough or district and were collected as part of the Olympics inspired ‘Sparks will Fly’ festival.
The Basildon bead was presented at the Play Your Part event at the Basildon Sporting Village in July.
Councillor Tony Ball , Leader of Basildon Council said: “The beads themselves are beautifully designed and well worth coming to see even if you didn’t make it to the original event."
