VOLUNTEERS are holding a pancake race to raise money for a children’s charity.
Members of the Little Burstead Village Hall Committee, in Laindon Common Road, Little Burstead, will be making and tossing over 500 pancakes to raise money for Little Havens Children’s Hospice.
Participants will be battling it out to try and win the giant frying pan trophy.
Roger Savage, chairman of the committee, said: “It is very important to do all we can to support charities such as Little Havens. They do fantastic work for young people in this area.”
Little Havens, which opened its doors in 1998 in Daws Heath Road, Thundersley, provides respite and palliative care to children across the county.
The pancake race will take place at the village hall from 11am on February 25.
